Everyone should know the solution to self-purification.

The universe was running even before our arrival and will continue to run even after our departure. If you desire to do good to the world, then the first step is to give up the ego of charity. In fact, that is not just charity, but you are doing yourself a favor.

If God wants to do good to someone then He can make anyone an instrument. If God has made us an instrument then we should understand that it is our good fortune. We should be grateful to God that He has created a feeling of compassion in the heart which gives rise to a feeling of charity and gives an opportunity to become holy. Swami Vivekananda ji had said that ‘To think that the world needs our help is a grave blasphemy or disrespect to God.

If you look at it, God does not need us, we need Him. The biggest benefit of charity is that it purifies the mind which is essential for self-development. Therefore, any opportunity to do God’s work must be accepted.

There should be no sense of ego in it. Just as we feel that whatever we have acquired is our effort or destiny, similarly if we are the bearer of charity or wealth or help, then that too is someone’s destiny. What is our role in this?

How happy can we make the ocean by giving it deep water? Fire has this boon that it burns whatever is pure or impure, it itself remains pure. Similarly, when there is a desire to give up selfishness and dedicate the body for altruism, then definitely higher speed is achieved. Therefore, whatever we get from the world, it is best to give it to the world.
