Mirzapur, 10 October (Hindustan Reporter). Everyone saluted those who saved the lives of others by donating their own blood. The occasion was to honor those who donated blood. On the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, a blood donor felicitation ceremony was organized in the Divisional Hospital auditorium on Wednesday. In this, blood donors were honored and people were encouraged to donate blood.

Chief guest Joint Director Dr. Arvind Singh said that I feel proud to honor the young blood donors. Blood donation is a great donation. Those who save the lives of others by donating blood are great. He called upon the youth to come forward to donate blood. We should take such an initiative that there should never be a shortage of blood in the blood bank. People between 18 to 50 years can easily donate blood, so everyone should come forward to donate blood. Social workers should also do this activity more actively.

Principal of the Medical College, Dr. Vishwajit Das said that there is still ignorance in the society regarding blood donation. People shy away from donating blood. We need to together remove this darkness. Donating blood does not cause any weakness in the body, rather the blood keeps getting purified, hence if blood donation is done even four times in a year, there is no problem.
