When monsoon comes, we get relief from the scorching heat. In that too, when monsoon comes, we get to eat jamun. Just as mango lovers wait for mangoes in summer, in the same way people eagerly eat jamun. Jamun is as nutritious as it is delicious to eat. But only if eaten in proportion.

benefits of eating jambu

  • Eating berries improves digestion.
  • Benefits heart health.
  • Blood deficiency from the body is removed.
  • Helps in weight loss.
  • Jambu is also considered good for the skin.

Although there are many benefits of eating jambu, some caution should also be taken at the right time. One should avoid consuming certain things with this fruit, otherwise there is a risk of physical harm.

  • Eating jamun on an empty stomach is harmful for health. If you consume jamun without eating anything in the morning, it can cause problems like acidity, stomach pain and swelling. This fruit is good for digestion, so it would be better if you consume it only after eating something.
  • People in India are very fond of pickles. But one should not taste the pickle immediately after eating jambu as it can cause stomach upset.
  • Do not consume any recipe in which turmeric has been used immediately after eating Jambu. Because consuming turmeric and Jambu is not good. There should be a gap of at least half an hour between eating both the foods.
