Every worker of Chhattisgarh should get the benefit of the schemes: Labor Minister Lakhan Lal Devangan

Korba, 17 July (HS). Labor, Industry and Commerce Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan today inaugurated a Daal-Bhat Center in Budhwari Bazaar of Korba district for providing full meal at Rs. 5 to the workers of construction, organized and unorganized class under Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Shram Anna Yojana. This is the second Daal-Bhat Center of the district. During this, he himself went among the workers along with the guests and ate food and appealed to the workers to come to this Daal-Bhat Center and eat food.

Giving information about the schemes run by the department on this occasion, the Labor Minister said that there are 72 schemes run under a total of three divisions of the Labor Department. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken the initiative of giving money directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries instead of providing material to them in all the schemes. This provides direct benefit to the beneficiary. He said that Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is working for the welfare of the poor. Labor Minister Mr. Dewangan further said that the Labor Department's schemes are for workers. No worker of Chhattisgarh should be deprived of the schemes; they should definitely get the benefits. Being the Labor Minister, he is also trying that all the workers of Korba district should take advantage of the schemes.

While inaugurating the Dal-Bhat Centre in Budhwari, Minister Shri Devangan said that Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai immediately agreed to start this scheme and today due to his efforts, Dal-Bhat Centres are being operated in 22 places in 10 districts of the state to provide affordable food to poor labourers. Dal-Bhat Centres will be operated at three places in Korba district. Out of which the second centre has been started today after the children. He said that through the Mahtari Vandan Scheme in the state, efforts are being made to benefit all women with a benefit of Rs 12,000 per year, farmers with support price of Rs 3100 and tendu leaf collectors with Rs 5500 per standard sack and other schemes. An initiative has been taken to provide coaching facilities through online and offline medium for the children of labourers to prepare for important competitive examinations including IAS, IPS. Children of labourers of Korba district will also get the benefit of this.

In the program today, 451 labour families of the district were benefited with an amount of about 01 crore 17 lakhs under the departmental scheme. Minister Shri Devangan appealed to other labourers of the district to get information about the schemes from the officers of the labour department and take advantage of the schemes. Rajiv Singh and Devendra Pandey also addressed the program. Assistant Labour Commissioner Rajesh Adile gave information about the schemes run by the department to the people present. On this occasion, public representatives, officers, labourers and common citizens were present.

Labor Minister provided checks of assistance amount to the beneficiaries

In the program, Minister Shri Dewangan provided checks of assistance to many beneficiaries under various schemes of the Labor Department. Under which, under Chhattisgarh Unorganized Worker Death and Disabled Assistance Scheme, Kamala Bai Das and Maniram Yadav were given checks of Rs 1 lakh each. Similarly, under the Chief Minister's Construction Workers Death and Disabled Assistance Scheme, Sunita and Budhwar Das were given checks of Rs 1 lakh each. Under the Unorganized Worker Mahtari Jatan Scheme, Vinita Kewat and Shiv Kumar Armo were given checks of Rs 20,000 each, under Minimata Mahtari Jatan Scheme, Rakhi Kanwar and Parvati Chauhan were given checks of Rs 20,000 each, under the Chief Minister Noni Empowerment Assistance Scheme, Kumari Manisha and Bhagwati were given checks of Rs 20,000 each.
