Even in the scorching heat, voters' enthusiasm remained at its peak, there was no sign of fear.


Latehar, 20 May (Hindus). Lok Sabha elections in Latehar district of Chatra parliamentary constituency were completed completely peacefully on Monday. Nearly 60 percent voting took place in the entire district.

Latehar district was considered a stronghold of Naxalites till a few years ago. For this reason, conducting peaceful elections used to be a big challenge for the administration here. But after the end of the Naxalite empire, this year absolutely peaceful elections were held in the entire district. There was a huge crowd of voters even at the polling stations in the rural areas of the district. Budha Pahad area, where voters were afraid even at the mention of voting, this year there was a huge crowd of voters in the polling booths of that area. Although voting was halted for some time due to a dispute at a polling booth in Balumath block of the district, but after the intervention of officials, completely peaceful voting took place there too.

DC and SP also voted

Latehar DC Garima Singh and SP Anjani Anjan also voted at Latehar district headquarters. After voting, officials appealed to all voters to come out of their homes and vote. Here the officials took stock of the voting work throughout the day. Wherever any disturbance was reported, facilities were immediately restored. The result was that even in the scorching heat, voters continued to vote with full enthusiasm. In this regard, Latehar DC Garima Singh said that voting was completely peaceful in Latehar district. He has congratulated all the voters for this. Latehar SP Anjani Anjan has thanked the voters for peaceful voting.
