Mathura, 20 April (HS). The police have arrested seven vicious criminals, including gang leader Jagveer alias Jaggo Fauji, who was planning a robbery after killing a city businessman. Apart from this, three child molesters have also been caught by the police. Due to the alertness of the police, a major incident was avoided in the city. Police have recovered a huge quantity of illegal weapons, mobile phones and bikes from their possession.

On Saturday, SSP Shailesh Pandey told in the police line that on Saturday morning, a joint team of Kotwali police and SWAT team, on the information of an informer, arrested the gang leader Jagveer alias Jaggo Fauji, who was planning a robbery by killing a businessman of the city near Alwar bridge. Gang members Bhola son of Raju Dinesh son of Komal Singh resident of Gonda Road Shivdan Nagar Rahul son of Mahendra Singh resident of Chandaftari Sheelendra alias Sheelu son of Gauri Shankar Vishal son of Ranveer Raju son of Manoj and three child molesters were caught.

SSP said that the vicious criminal Jagveer alias Jaggo, son of soldier Puran Singh, is a resident of Mohkampur police station, Iglas district, Aligarh. He has a rivalry with a businessman from Mathura regarding a land located in Beswa police station, Iglas district, Aligarh. Due to this rivalry, the soldier along with his gang had planned to gather near Alwarpul last night, attack the businessman's house and commit murder and loot. For this, she had already arranged for a huge amount of arms, vehicles, masks, caps, chilli powder for her gang, but as soon as these criminals gathered near Alwarpul, on the information of the informer, the Kotwali police and in-charge SWOT team arrested Jaggo. Aka Fauji was arrested along with the gang along with illegal weapons, cartridges and illegal vehicles.

It is said that the gang leader had enmity with the businessman. He was threatened yesterday through phone and WhatsApp. In this regard, the businessman has registered a case against Jagveer Fauji at the police station Sadar. Police have recovered one pistol, 5 pistols, 50 cartridges, 3 hammers, 1 axe, 10 caps, 10 masks, 17 mobile phones, 3 Apache motorcycles from their possession. Gang leader history-sheeter Jagveer alias Jaggo Urfauji has 27 cases registered against him in Aligarh, Mathura and Hathras.

In the team that arrested the criminal, Inspector in-charge Kotwali Ravi Tyagi, in-charge SWAT team Abhay Sharma, besides sub-inspectors Nitin Tyagi, Vikrant Tomar, Abhishek Gupta, Sanoj Sharma were present. SSP Shailesh Pandey has rewarded him with a cash prize of Rs 25,000 for encouraging the police team that arrested the miscreants.
