Establishment closed in Kedarnath Dham on the very first day, horses and mules did not walk on the pedestrian path

On the very first day of the opening of the doors of Kedarnath Dham, the pilgrim priests expressed their anger and closed down the business establishments, Prasad shops, food hotels and dhabas of Kedarpuri. Also, the work of Pandittai was also not done by the pilgrim priests.

The pilgrim priests demand that strict action should be taken against the officers and employees who vandalized Kedarnath Dham. On the other hand, horse and mule operators operating on the Kedarnath pilgrimage route also went on strike. The travelers had to face a lot of problems due to the horses and mules not moving.

There is anger among the people of Kedarnath Teerth Purohit Samaj and Vyapar Sabha. On the very first day of the yatra, Tirtha Purohit Samaj and Vyapar Sabha have started an indefinite strike. Pilgrimage priests closed all their hotels, lodges, dhabas, shops, prasad shops. Not only this, the pilgrim priests also boycotted the work of Pandittai.

Pilgrimage priests say that on April 22, massive vandalism was carried out in Kedarnath Dham. All the pilgrim priests were in their villages and some officials reached the Dham and got the laborers to do heavy demolition on the main road in front of the temple. Their houses have also been damaged due to this vandalism. He said that strict action should be taken against the officers and employees who indulge in such vandalism.

On the other hand, horse-mule operators and owners operating on the Kedarnath pilgrimage route also started the strike on the very first day. Horse-mule operators and owners allege that they are being harassed. They are not being given accommodation anywhere on the walking route. They are being driven away from the place where they are making their hideout. The travelers faced a lot of problems due to non-availability of horses and mules. Many travelers have also returned from Gaurikund due to non-availability of horses and mules.

Santosh Trivedi and Ajay Purohit, the pilgrim priests of Kedarnath Dham, said that the pilgrim priests have closed their houses and business establishments located in Kedarnath indefinitely due to their demand. The Tirtha priests were assured that they would be made to meet the Chief Minister, but their meeting was not made and the Tirtha priests were stopped. He said that if his demands are not met, his indefinite strike will continue.

The pilgrims who reached the Dham said that they did not even get tea anywhere on the way. They had to carry on with their work by drinking water. Finding Bhandara at one place, he got some relief. Late in the evening, after the horse-mule workers had talks with the administration, they ended their strike.
