Epigral Ltd’s Q2 net profit rises 111 per cent to Rs 81 crore

Epigral Limited: Epigral Limited (Epigral), India’s leading integrated chemicals manufacturer, today announced its financial results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2024. The company’s PAT (net profit) increased by 111 percent to ₹ 81 crore in Q2 FY 2024-25 from ₹ 38 crore in Q2 FY 2023-24. In the second quarter of financial year 2023-24, the company’s quarterly revenue increased by 32 percent to Rs 632 crore from Rs 479 crore.

Commenting on the results, Epigral Chairman and Managing Director Maulik Patel said Epigral experienced 37 per cent growth in sales in the first half of FY 2024-25, driven by sales of high-value products in derivatives and specialty businesses. Driven by 17 percent growth in. Despite this, there is a partial decline in the revenue of all the products. Revenue share from derivatives and specialty business increased to 59 per cent in Q2FY2024-25 from 46 per cent in Q2FY2023-24.

Patel said, “At Epigral we are continuously focused on growth and new products, which are the first of their kind in India. In line with this strategy we entered CPVC and ECH products, which are import substitute products in India. Given the acceptance of our products, market size and growing demand for both the products, we are excited to expand the capacity of both the products and double our existing capacity. The additional capacity is expected to be operational by the first half of FY 2026-27 and both these projects are expected to be completed by FY 2026-27. Our strategy is to diversify into value-added products, strengthen our integrated campus and continue to invest in capital expenditure, which will help us grow operations and create value for our shareholders.

The Board of Epigral has approved the expansion project of CPVC and Epichlorohydrin (ECH). CPVC resin capacity will increase by another 75,000 TPA (tonnes per annum) to 1,50,000 TPA and epichlorohydrin (ECH) capacity will increase by another 50,000 TPA to 1,00,000 TPA. These capacities will be expanded at the company’s Dahej plant in Gujarat.
