What is the EPF interest rate for the financial year 2023-24?
The Government of India has fixed the interest rate for EPF members for the financial year 2023-2024 at 8.25% on May 31, 2024.

EPFO said in a post on social media X that interest rates for EPF members are not credited on a quarterly basis. Usually annual interest rates are declared in the first quarter of the financial year after the end of the financial year. The Government of India has already released the interest rate of 8.25% for the financial year 2023-24 for EPF members. On 31-05 2024, EPFO has released the money to the members who left EPFO membership on the basis of revised interest rates.
Interest paid to 23,04,516 members
EPFO in its X account said that 23,04,516 EPF claims have been settled and an amount of Rs 9260,40,35,488 has been released to the members including the declared interest rate at the rate of 8.25% per annum. However, EPFO has not yet given any clarification to the active EPF members about when they will get the payment of interest for the financial year 2023-24. Many active members have asked EPFO on social media when they will get EPF credit.

-Visit the official EPFO member passbook portal.
-Enter your UAN and password to sign in.
– Select the PF account you want to view.
– Click on View PF Passbook for all transactions. Here you will get the balance.

missed calls: If your Universal Account Number (UAN) is linked to your registered mobile number, you can give a missed call to 011-22901406. The call will be disconnected automatically and you will receive your EPF balance details via SMS.
