ICC Test Rankings: After the second Test match played between England and West Indies, ICC has announced the new Test rankings. Meanwhile, it was expected that former England captain Joe Root could become the number one batsman in Tests. But he missed it by a small margin. But England's Harry Brook has made a tremendous jump. Due to which Indian team captain Rohit Sharma has suffered a little loss. However, three Indian batsmen have managed to retain their place in the top 10.
Kane Williamson is number one batsman in ICC Test rankings
New Zealand's Kane Williamson is still the number one batsman in the ICC Test rankings. Currently his rating is 859. However, his position seems to be in danger. Because England's Joe Root is at number two with a rating of 852. There is a difference of only seven rating points between the first and second batsman. If England's Joe Root plays a big innings in the third and final Test against West Indies, then he has a chance to become Test number one. England's Harry Brook is at third place in this ranking. Harry Brook scored a century in the second Test against West Indies, which increased his rating to 771.
Loss to Babar Azam, Daryl Mitchell, Rohit Sharma and Steve Smith
Babar Azam of Pakistan is in fourth place with a rating of 768. New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell is in fifth place with a rating of 768. Steve Smith is in sixth place with a rating of 757. Indian captain Rohit Sharma has also moved down one place. His rating is 751 and he is in seventh place.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli remain in the top 10
India's Yashasvi Jaiswal remains at the eighth position with 740 rating. While Sri Lanka's Damuth Karunaratne remains at number nine with 739 rating. Virat Kohli is at the last position in the top 10. His rating is still 737. There can be a lot of changes in the ranking even after the third Test between West Indies and England.
