Ranchi Municipal Corporation on Monday launched a campaign from Kachari Chowk via Shaheed Chowk to Albert Ekka Chowk in the presence of magistrate and police force to make the roads of Municipal Corporation area jam-free and encroachment-free. During this period, street vendors were removed from the no vending zone. Also, two posts and a table encroaching on the roads were confiscated.
It is noteworthy that before the encroachment free campaign, the corporation had instructed all the shopkeepers and vendors to remove the encroachments themselves through miking, after which action was taken by the corporation by confiscating the goods.
