In police encounters in Lucknow and Ghazipur, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, two criminals of the gang who stole crores of rupees by breaking the lockers of Indian Overseas Bank were killed. In these incidents, one criminal, Sobind Kumar, was killed during an encounter on Kisan Path in Lucknow, while the other criminal, Sunny Dayal, carrying a reward of ₹ 25,000, was killed in Ghazipur.
Lucknow: Sobind Kumar killed in encounter

- Time: Monday night around 12:30 am.
- Police received information that two miscreants were present near Kisan Path.
- When the miscreants laid siege, they opened fire on the police.
- Sobind Kumar was injured in retaliatory firing.

Ghazipur: Death of Sunny Dayal
- Place of incident: Gahmar police station area, Bihar border.
- Event Details:
- During checking, the police tried to stop two suspects riding a bike.
- The accused fired at the police while running away.
- Sunny Dayal was injured in retaliation, while the other miscreant escaped taking advantage of the darkness.
- Treatment: The injured was taken to CHC Bhadaura, from where he was referred to Ghazipur District Hospital. Doctors declared Sunny Dayal dead.

Theft of crores in Indian Overseas Bank
Late Saturday night, miscreants broke into 42 lockers at the Indian Overseas Bank in Chinhat, Lucknow and stole crores of rupees.
