Terrorists are constantly trying to disrupt peace in Jammu and Kashmir. An encounter with terrorists took place on Monday in the Desa forest area of Doda district of Jammu division. During the encounter, four security personnel including an army officer were injured, who have been admitted to the hospital. Five brave soldiers died during treatment. Security forces have cordoned off the area. Additional security forces have been sent to the spot. Search operation is going on in the area. Terrorists are being searched.
The encounter started when troops of the Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint cordon and search operation at Dhari Gote Urrabag in the Desa forest area at around 7.45 pm, officials said.
“Based on specific intelligence, a joint operation was being carried out by Army and Police in the general area north of Doda,” the Army's White Knight Corps wrote in a post on Twitter. Contact was made with the terrorists at around 9 pm, following which heavy firing took place. Additional troops have been sent to the area.

Tributes to the brave soldiers who made great sacrifices to protect our country. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family members. He said, 'We will avenge the death of our jawans and foil the nefarious designs of terrorists and their collaborators.
