Rohtak, 3 October (Hindustan Reporter). Under the aegis of National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell of Maharishi Dayanand University, NSS volunteers visited Lakhi Ram Orphanage Ashram and distributed food items among the children. Dr. Savita Rathi, NSS Program Coordinator of MDU, said that the main objective of this initiative was to interact affectionately with the children of the orphanage and to connect the NSS volunteers with their social concerns. NSS program Dr. Anju Pawar, Dr. Gurdayal, Dr. Jitendra Rathi and Dr. Ekta Rani made important contributions in this service work.
He, along with NSS volunteers, dedicated his time to serving the children of the ashram. NSS volunteers Raghav and Sujit distributed packaged food and other volunteers spent time with the children of the ashram, interacting with them. During this time, an atmosphere of affection and cooperation was created among everyone, due to which the children got mental and emotional support. The Ashram management appreciated this humanitarian effort of NSS Cell and asked for cooperation in such works in future also. This program has further strengthened the dedication and service spirit of NSS volunteers towards the society.
