Employees were told how to protect themselves from heat wave in the webinar

Varanasi, June 03 (HS). In the context of World Environment Day, a webinar on “Mitigation and Management of Heat Wave” was organized at Banaras Railway Engine Factory on Monday. In the webinar, employees were told how to prevent physical problems such as heat wave and heat cramps caused by the scorching heat.

In the auditorium of the Technical Training Center, factory workers, contract workers, security and maintenance department employees working in the open were especially told how to protect themselves from heatstroke. The program was coordinated by Karunesh Shrivastava, Director of Factory Advice Service and Labour Institute, Kanpur.

Assistant Director, Industrial Hygiene Dhanashree Achrekar presented a useful lecture. This webinar was benefited not only by the people present in the TTC auditorium but also by the officers and employees of various departments of BARC through the webinar link. Under the guidance of General Manager S.K. Shrivastava, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, the employees listened to useful advice. The program was coordinated, conducted and the vote of thanks was given by Safety Officer Anoop Singh Vats.
