Hike: The West Bengal government has given the gift of dearness allowance and dearness relief to state employees and pensioners after the elections. The state government has increased the DA by 4 percent by issuing a notification on Tuesday. The state government has said that this decision will be considered effective from April 1, 2024. The state finance department issued a notification and informed that earlier this decision was to be implemented from May 1. Now the increased DA will be given to the employees and pensioners with the salary of July.
14 lakh state employees will benefit
This decision of the West Bengal government will benefit about 14 lakh employees of the state, all school, college and university employees, employees of public sector companies and pensioners. In the year 2024, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has increased the DA twice. Earlier, the state government had increased the DA in January. After this, the increase in DA was announced during the budget in February. With this, the state employees will now start getting 14 percent DA.
Mamata Banerjee called the Yogya Shree scheme a success
At the same time, Mamta Banerjee praised the Yogya Shree scheme on the social media platform X on Tuesday and wrote that we started it to provide free training to SC / ST students of the state for admission in engineering and medical courses. Our students have benefited a lot from this. Now boys and girls of minority, OBC and general category will also be included in this scheme. She wrote that with the help of Yogya Shree Yojana, she has got 23 rank in JEE (Advanced) in the year 2024 (including 13 IIT seats), 75 rank in JEE (Main), 432 rank in WBJEE and 110 rank in NEET.
