Narsinghpur, 21 September (HS). School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh said that emphasis should be laid on increasing the number of children taking admission in Class I. Information about the facilities available to children in government schools such as free uniforms, textbooks, mid-day meals should be provided to the parents of children by going door-to-door through teachers, Anganwadi workers, secretaries, employment assistants, so that the enrollment of children in government schools increases.
Minister Singh was addressing the meeting of Gadarwara Vidhan Sabha with district officials held at NTPC's Vikas Bhawan on Saturday. He directed that the age of admission in class I is fixed. Children of this age should be identified in advance for admission in the next academic session. Parents should also be counselled. This work will be done with everyone's participation. Teachers should be present in the classes with dedication and do the work of teaching. He directed the District Education Officer and DPC to take strict action against teachers who are absent from schools. He said that for this, continuous inspection of educational institutions should be ensured by BRC and BEO.
Minister Uday Pratap Singh expressed displeasure during the review of the Electricity Department and said that the electricity bills of farmer consumers are coming inflated. Ensure their review again. Electricity consumers should not face any kind of problem. He gave clear instructions for this to the Superintending Engineer Amit Kumar Chauhan. Minister Singh said in a strict tone that the transformers that have burnt in Gadarwara area should be replaced soon. There should not be any kind of laxity in this work by the staff of the Electricity Department. Expressing displeasure on the review of bills given by increasing the horse power of agricultural pumps of farmer consumers, he said that the staff of the Electricity Department should investigate it seriously and take action against the culprits and inform. Special camps should also be organized for this.
Minister Singh also reviewed the tap water scheme of Jal Jeevan Mission under Gadarwara. He said that penalty should be imposed on those contractors who have not started the work within the stipulated time. Despite this, if there is no improvement, action should also be taken to blacklist the company. The tap water scheme has been completed and handed over to the Gram Panchayat. Water tax should also be deposited by the villagers so that the scheme can be operated smoothly.
During the review of the PIU department, Minister Singh said that the construction works should be monitored continuously. High quality should be ensured in all construction works. Any kind of compromise with quality is not acceptable. He directed to complete all the works within the stipulated time period. The work of road construction for the people of Bharia tribe living in the remote tribal area of Chichli Janpad Panchayat under the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Man Yojana should also be completed on time by the Madhya Pradesh Rural Road Development Authority Project Implementation Unit. Actually, the objective of this scheme is to provide essential facilities like safe housing, clean drinking water, sanitation, better access to education, health and nutrition as well as better road and telecommunication connectivity.
The officers present in the meeting were instructed that all officers should work pro-actively and spend maximum time in the field. Collector Sheetla Patel, Superintendent of Police Mrigakhi Deka, NTPC Chief General Manager Prabol Mandal, former MLA Sadhana Sthapak, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dalip Kumar, Assistant Collector Shubham Kumar Yadav, Nagar Palika President Shivakant Mishra, District Panchayat Member Sandeep Rao and other local public representatives were present in the meeting.
