Islamabad: The Taliban rulers of Afghanistan have officially declared many of their embassies abroad as unrecognised. The Taliban government has flatly refused to accept visas or passports and other documents provided by them because the officials and staff of those embassies were appointed by the former Western-backed government (Karzai government).

The Taliban, who have been controlling Afghanistan since gaining power in 2021, now consider the appointments made by the Karzai government to its embassies as completely unacceptable to the Taliban. These include its embassies located in Western Europe. The embassy which had the authority to issue passports, visas and other documents to Afghan citizens has been removed. The list of these countries is as follows: It has removed all embassy officials and staff appointed by the Karzai government in England, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Australia, Greece, Poland, Sweden, Norway and Canada. It has been officially announced that the Taliban government will not accept any letter given.

On one hand, only 4-5 countries of the world including Pakistan and China have accepted the Taliban rule. Apart from this, no country in the world has yet officially recognized this Taliban government of Afghanistan even in the United Nations. Afghanistan is still represented by officials appointed by the previous Karzai government. But the Taliban wants to remove him and install their own man. Let's see what other tricks the Taliban is playing.
