Ukraine was also mentioned. Police searched everywhere in the building but did not find any explosives or other suspicious items, a police officer said.

This message was sent to the Saturday e-mail address of the RBI Governor. Russian language was used in the email. After receiving a threat to blow up the RBI bank with explosives, the officials immediately informed the police. Police searched the entire building. But nothing suspicious was found.

The sender of the Russian-language email claimed that an IED had been planted in the building. It will be activated remotely in five days, the official said. The accused asked the RBI Governor to join the movement for Ukraine.

A case has been registered in this matter at Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg Police Station in South Mumbai. Police are conducting further investigation to nab the accused who sent the e-mail.

Earlier, Reserve Bank of India had received a threatening call. The caller said he was the CEO of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Then he immediately cut the pawn. The accused also threatened to close the bank and hit him with a car.
