Ever since Tesla CEO Elon Musk became the owner of Twitter, now known as X, he has been making some changes. As soon as X came to power, Max launched a paid service. Then announced imposition of duty on blue tea. Now Elon Musk is working on a plan to charge for another service on X.
New users will have to pay a fee
Elon Musk has to pay new X users a small amount to post on the microblogging site. However, no information has been received as to how much will be charged for this service.
Due to this reason a fee will be charged
Musk said charging fees could solve the bot problem. New users will be able to avail the free service after three months. Referring to captcha, he wrote that it can easily bypass the existing AI (all troll forms) Are you a bot? Musk, replying to another user, said that after creating a new account, one can post for three months without paying any fee. Musk has written that they (new users) will be able to write for free after three months.
Fees are charged in these countries
As of October 2023, the X platform was charging new unverified users in New Zealand and the Philippines $1 per year. New free users in these areas could only read posts, but could not interact with them. New users were required to pay a fee to post, repost, or reply. Musk may impose similar fees in other areas as well. Earlier this month, Musk's AI company xAI created its “Grok” chatbot for premium X users, who pay $8 per month. According to a recent report from Fortune, X is planning to make Grok available to all users for writing posts.
Know what is the new policy of X?
Under X's new policy, you will have to pay for liking someone's post, bookmarking a post and replying to a post. You can only follow one account for free. This policy has been long-tested to prevent spam on the platform. Musk has already talked about working with AI bots. Ax updated its policy last year to include this. He said public posts could be used to train machine learning algorithms.
