Kanpur, 23 May (HS). Electricity theft has been detected in four apartments of Sohail Ansari, MLA from Congress Party from Cantonment Assembly. A commercial connection was taken. There was electricity in four more apartments. The electricity department has started taking action against the former MLA.
Former MLA Sohail Ansari has a five-storey apartment near PAC turn. Construction work is still going on in it. There are about 40 flats in this building. For the construction of the building, a separate electricity connection has been taken for commercial use. Electricity was being supplied to four more flats of the building from the same connection. When the electricity department raided on the information, it was found that the commercial connection taken for the construction work is also supplying electricity to four more apartments. The electricity department has collected evidence by doing videography. This multi-storey building which is under construction is in the name of former MLA Sohail Ansari. Executive Engineer of Kesco Rajendra Kumar said on Thursday that this building and the connection here are in the name of Sohail Ansari. Electricity theft has been detected in four flats in the building and further action is being taken.
