Electricity department issued RC of Rs 13 lakh against the saint, outrage

Bulandshahr, 07 July (HS). A big mistake and misdeed of the electricity department has come to light in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The electricity department issued a fake RC of Rs 13 lakh against a 110-year-old saint. After the intervention of the local MLA, the officers accepted the mistake of the department.

The electricity department issued a fake RC of 13 lakhs to Sant Sanyasi Baba alias Dalua and forced him to make rounds of the department. When the saint appealed to the officers of the electricity department, no one listened to him. After making rounds again and again, the Chief Engineer ordered an inquiry to the XEN after the complaint but nothing happened. When the saint complained about the entire matter to Anupshahr MLA Sanjay Sharma, the MLA intervened in the matter. After the intervention of the MLA, the officers swung into action and the RC was returned in a hurry.

The electricity department has shown the connection of the year 1911 at the ashram of Sant Sanyasi Baba. After issuing a fake RC, the tehsil team also reached to seize the ashram. Troubled by the harassment of the electricity department, Baba appealed to Anupshahr MLA Sanjay Sharma, then the MLA took the whole matter seriously and scolded the officers of the electricity department. After the MLA's strictness, the officers came into action and the connection was PD and RC was recalled.

MLA Sanjay Sharma says on the whole issue that harassment of anyone will not be tolerated. The officers of the electricity department have been strictly warned that in future, strict action will be taken by the government on such incidents.

Chief Engineer Rahul Aggarwal says that after the MLA's complaint, the XEN has been instructed to return the RC. The entire matter is being investigated and appropriate action will be taken.
