Electricity bill for three months will be received at once in December, know the reason

Dhanbad, Correspondent: More than 2.5 lakh electricity consumers have not received bills in the month of November. People are troubled by this. Dhanbad Area Board has more than 5.7 lakh connections. In the month of December, all consumers will get electricity bills for three to four months at once. If bills exceed this, people will have trouble paying.

All the Urja Mitras of Dhanbad and Chas zone under Dhanbad Area Board were on strike from October 1 to November 20, demanding payment of honorarium for the months of August and September. Not a single Urja Mitra made a bill for 50 days. Due to this the billing came to a complete halt. Departmental employees kept taking meter readings. Bills were generated from the head office and bill messages were sent to consumers’ mobile phones, which the department later had to cancel because all the bills were incorrect. Here, after payment of honorarium, Urja Mitras returned to work and all Urja Mitras started making bills from 21-30 November. 100% bill could not be completed in ten days. Because of this, now consumers will get bills for three-four months at once. If the amount is more, people will have to face many problems in making the payment.

All consumers will get electricity bills in the month of December. Those consumers whose Urja Mitra did not come to settle the bill, should take a photo of the unit in the meter and send it to the mobile phone of their area executive and assistant engineer. With this, electricity bills will be sent to the consumers.
