New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Monday) rejected SBI's plea to grant more time to the Election Commission to submit details of the electoral bonds, and ordered that the details be given to the Election Commission during working hours tomorrow, March 12. Also ordered the Election Commission to upload the details on its website by 5 pm on March 15.
The Supreme Court had dismissed the State Bank of India and said that we have asked you to submit those details to the Election Commission by March 6. You did not act as per that order. In fact, it is tantamount to contempt of court to ask, 'So what have you been doing until now?'
SBI will issue electoral bonds to the Election Commission. Expressing displeasure over the time sought till 30th June, the Supreme Court reiterated the same date and submitted the details of that bond to the Election Commission by the working time of 12th March. It also ordered the Election Commission of India (ECI) to put the details of those bonds on its official website by 5 pm on March 15.

Along with this, the Supreme Court ordered SBI to come out in a clear and simple manner as per the decision of the court and said, 'SBI has to only open the sealed cover, and collect the details and give it to the Election Commission.'
Earlier, State Bank of India had sought more time till June 30 to provide these details. In which how much time was sought to present the details of how many bonds each party bought before the scheme was invalidated by each electoral bond (court). But the Supreme Court clearly refused this and ordered SBI to submit these details tomorrow (12th Tuesday).
Meanwhile, contempt of court proceedings against SBI. The hearing of the impugned application has also started.
