Elections will be held in seven phases in UP, many seats changed in the first five phases

Lucknow, March 16 (HS). The Election Commission on Saturday announced the dates for Lok Sabha elections 2024. In Uttar Pradesh, which gives the maximum number of 80 MPs to the country's Parliament, elections will be held in seven phases like the 2019 general elections. In the last elections, the first phase started from Western Uttar Pradesh. This time too, voting in UP is starting from the west, although the Election Commission has made changes in the seats phase wise this time. The seats for which voting was held in the sixth and seventh phase of the last elections are the same in this election also. There has been a lot of change in seats in the remaining five phases. Most of the changes in seats are from Western Uttar Pradesh. Yes, there is no change in the number of seats phase wise.

The eight seats for which voting took place on April 11 in the first phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in UP included Saharanpur, Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar. This time also the Election Commission has announced the seats of Saharanpur, Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Nagina, Moradabad, Rampur, Pilibhit. In the last elections, voting was held in the second phase on Nagina seat, third phase on Moradabad and third phase on Rampur and Pilibhit respectively. The first phase of voting for Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be held on April 19.

Now let's talk about the second phase. In 2019, the eight seats for which the second phase of voting was held on April 18 were Nagina, Amroha, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Hathras, Mathura, Agra and Fatehpur Sikri. This time voting will be held in Amroha, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura on 26th April. Voting was held in the first phase on Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar seats included in the second phase.

In 2019, the third phase of voting was held on ten seats on April 23. Among them were Moradabad, Rampur, Sambhal, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etah, Badaun, Amla, Bareilly and Pilibhit. This time, the seats where voting will be held on May 07 include Sambhal, Hathras, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etah, Badaun, Amla, Bareilly. Hathras and Agra seats included in this phase were in the second phase and Fatehpur Sikri in the first phase in the last elections.

In the last Lok Sabha elections, the fourth phase of voting took place on 29 April for 13 seats. These included Shahjahanpur, Kheri, Hardoi, Misrikh, Unnao, Farrukhabad, Etawah, Kannauj, Kanpur, Akbarpur, Jalaun, Jhansi and Hamirpur. This time, the 13 seats for which elections will be held in the fourth phase on May 13 are Shahjahanpur, Kheri, Dhaurahara, Sitapur, Hardoi, Misrikh, Unnao, Farrukhabad, Etawah, Kannauj, Kanpur, Akbarpur, Bahraich. Dhaurahra and Sitapur seats included in this phase were included in the fifth phase in the last elections.

In 2019, the fifth phase of voting took place on 06 May in 14 seats namely Dhaurahara, Sitapur, Mohanlalganj, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Banda, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Barabanki, Faizabad, Bahraich, Kaiserganj and Gonda. This time, voting will be held on 20th May on 14 seats of Mohanlal Ganj, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Jalaun, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Banda, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Barabanki, Faizabad, Kaiserganj, Gonda. Voting was held in the fourth phase in the last elections on Jalaun, Jhansi and Hamirpur seats included in the fifth phase.

In the sixth phase in 2019, the 14 seats for which voting took place on May 12 included Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Phulpur, Prayagraj, Ambedkarnagar, Shravasti, Dumariyaganj, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Lalganj, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Machhilshahr and Bhadohi. This time the date of voting on these 14 seats is May 25. However, there was no change in the seats.

In the last elections, the seventh phase of voting took place on 19 May on 13 seats. These include Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria, Bansgaon, Ghosi, Salempur, Ballia, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Mirzapur and Robertsganj. This time voting will take place on June 1. There was no change in seats. The results of the elections will be declared on June 04.

Political meanings of this change are also being extracted. According to experts, the Election Commission announces the dates after discussing many points. There are many reasons for this, such as security arrangements, number of sensitive polling stations, local festivals etc.
