Elections should be conducted in a free, fair and fear-free environment: Dr. S. Natarajan

Dumka, 15 May (HS). General Observer of Lok Sabha constituency Dr. S. A meeting of all cell officials was held on Wednesday in the presence of Natarajan and police observer Sudhir Kumar Reddy. General Observer Dr. S. Natarajan took stock of the preparations of the administration in the meeting to conduct fair and peaceful elections and gave necessary guidelines. The General Observer said that in order to conduct the Lok Sabha elections error-free, all the polling officials should be given excellent training. Conduct frequent hands-on training on EVMs. Test them after training.

District Electoral Officer Anjaneyulu Dodde gave information about assembly wise ARO, AERO. Static surveillance team, flying squad team, video surveillance team and product department informed about the action taken. During this, he gave information about security arrangements, action taken by police, force transportation, force accommodation, inter-state check post, communication plan, and other topics. The District Election Officer said that 1891 polling stations have been made in the Lok Sabha constituency. The General Observer said that it should be ensured that minimum basic facilities are available at all polling stations. Make sure that electricity, water, toilets, ramps and other necessary arrangements are available at all polling stations.

He said that voter information slips should be distributed among all the voters timely. It should be ensured that the voter information slip reaches every voter's home. The District Electoral Officer directed all the Block Development Officers to reach every house through voter distribution slip BLO.
