Ranchi, July 11 (HS). Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) general secretary cum spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya has fiercely targeted the BJP. He has accused the BJP of destabilizing the state government again through the Election Commission after ED and CBI. He said that the way the Election Commission team came to Jharkhand today and the way they are holding meetings, an attempt is being made to create confusion and fear among the officials. Elections are not possible in Jharkhand till Chhath from religious, cultural and geographical point of view.
Bhattacharya was speaking at a press conference at the party office in Harmu on Thursday. He said that what is BJP afraid of after all? BJP should answer what will be achieved by holding early elections in every state in the country. BJP does not want the benefits of the state government's schemes to reach the people. If there is an attempt to force early elections in Jharkhand, then JMM will give a befitting reply.
He said that this entire conspiracy is being hatched keeping in mind the schemes announced by the Jharkhand government and the schedule of giving government jobs so that its benefits do not reach the public. Election Commission can hold elections in Jharkhand anytime between 10 November to 20 December, it is welcome. Because the term of the current assembly in Jharkhand ends on 4 January 2025. Therefore, BJP should not play with the religious and cultural sentiments of the people of Jharkhand under the guise of Election Commission, otherwise it will be opposed.
