New Delhi, 23 November (HS). Counting of votes for 48 assembly seats in Maharashtra, Jharkhand and 15 states is underway and trends are emerging. The trends till 3 pm show the ruling party heading towards victory. While in Jharkhand, on one hand, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha led Indi Alliance seems to be getting majority, on the other hand, in Maharashtra, BJP led Mahayuti alliance seems to be getting a big majority.
According to the data given by the Election Commission, out of 81 seats in Jharkhand, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is ahead on 33, Congress on 17 and Rashtriya Janata Dal on 5 seats. On the other hand, Bharatiya Janata Party is leading on 21 seats, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and JLKM are leading on one seat each. Apart from this, CPIML is ahead on two and independent candidates on one.
Bharatiya Janata Party is emerging as the largest party out of 288 seats in Maharashtra. BJP is leading on 130 seats, Shiv Sena is leading on 52 seats and NCP is leading on 38 seats. On the other hand, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) is leading on 19 seats, Congress on 20 seats and NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) on 10 seats. MIMIM has lead on 2 seats, Samajwadi Party on two seats. Apart from this, other parties are leading on 5 seats and independents are leading on 2 seats.
In the by-elections held on Wayanad and Nanded seats of Lok Sabha, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra (Congress) is leading on Wayanad seat of Kerala and Dr. Santukrao Marotrao Hambarde (BJP) is leading on Nanded seat of Maharashtra.
In the by-elections held on 48 assembly seats across the country, out of 5 seats in Assam, Bharatiya Janata Party is ahead on two, Assam Gana Parishad on one, UPP Liberal on one and Congress on one.
Of the four seats in Bihar, Bharatiya Janata Party has won two and allies Janata Dal (U) and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) have won two.
Bharatiya Janata Party is ahead on one seat in Raipur city south of Chhattisgarh and BJP is also ahead on Vav seat of Gujarat.
Congress party has won all the three seats in Karnataka. Of the two seats in Kerala, Congress has won one and CPM is ahead on one.
Of the two seats in Madhya Pradesh, BJP is ahead on one and Congress on one.
One seat in Meghalaya has gone to the NPP party.
Congress has won the Barnala seat in Punjab and Aam Aadmi Party has won the remaining three.
Out of 7 seats in Rajasthan, Bharatiya Janata Party is ahead on five, Congress on one and Bharat Adivasi Party on one.
Elections have already been held unopposed on two seats in Sikkim. Both the seats there have gone to Sikkim Krantikari Morcha.
Apart from this, out of 9 seats in Uttar Pradesh, Bharatiya Janata Party is ahead on 6 seats, Rashtriya Lok Dal on one seat and Samajwadi Party on two seats.
Kedarnath, the only seat in Uttarakhand, has gone to the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Out of the 6 by-elections held in West Bengal, Trinamool has won four and is leading on two.
