Election related training given to presiding officers

Khunti, 3 May (Hindustan Reporter) In order to conduct free, fair and clean Lok Sabha elections, Training Cell, Khunti organized different training programs for the presiding officers deputed for 60-Khunti and 59-Torpa assembly constituencies on Friday at Birsa College, Khunti and Loyola Inter College campus. Was organized.

The presiding officers were given information about the entire election process from dispatch center to collection center. Postal voting started at convenience centers from Friday. The presiding officers applying for postal voting exercised their franchise by postal ballot at the convenience center established in the respective training centre. During the training, the master trainers of the training cell informed the presiding officers about the work performance and responsibilities at the polling center on the day of voting and at the collection center after voting from the dispatch centre.

While discussing various forms used in election work, people were informed about the method of maintaining those forms. It was told that special care is required in filling the forms. During the training, practical information was given on how to maintain various forms used in election work using dummy forms. The presiding officers were explained in detail about the procedures related to mock poll, sealing and actual voting, packaging of forms after completion of polling.

They were made aware of the entire process of voting through EVMs and were given practical information about the composition and functioning of CU, BU and VVPAT. Before the commencement of postal voting, Senior Officer of Training Cell cum Project Director, ITDA, Alok Shikari Kachhap, Senior Officer of Personnel Cell cum DDC Shyam Narayan Ram, Officer in-charge of Training Cell cum District Land Acquisition Officer Parvez and other officers were present at the facility centers. But the arrangements made for postal voting were reviewed. Before this, a written examination was organized to test the working efficiency of the presiding officers through 50 questions related to the conduct of election work.
