Assembly elections are to be held in many states
During the same period, apart from the Lok Sabha, voting will be held in different phases for the assembly elections in four states. The notification issued on Thursday also clarifies that under the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, any public opinion or expression of any kind in any electronic media during the period of 48 hours ending with the time fixed for the conclusion of polling, The election survey will be published. Any such election material, including survey results, will be banned.
