Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Central General Secretary cum spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said that the Chief Election Commission is requested to come to Ranchi from Monday to Friday and be aware of our feelings. The Election Commission had been working to advance democracy since 1952 and this tradition still continues. The Election Commission ensures that every citizen can exercise his constitutional rights without fear.
Speaking to reporters at the party office on Saturday, Bhattacharya said that today is the ninth date. In the last elections, March 10 was the date when the notification for the formation of the 14th Lok Sabha seat was issued. At that time there was BJP government in the state.
He said that the national parties of the state are on behalf of the Election Commission. BJP, Congress, Bahujan Samaj Party, CPI(M), CPI, and regional parties were also called and their opinion was taken regarding the elections, but today that tradition has changed, the election meetings and yatras will be held in a transparent manner. There will be allocation of time. But till now no formal information has been received regarding this, whether only one political party is interested here. Our star campaigner was stopped in the 2019 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. On behalf of the administration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with BJP used to go to many places to address various meetings, and there were “no flying zones” till their radius.
