Election campaign stopped on three Lok Sabha seats of the state, voting on May 20


Ranchi, May 18 (HS). In the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting will be held on three Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand on May 20. These include Koderma, Chatra and Hazaribagh. Voting will run from 7 am to 5 pm. Campaigning on these seats stopped on Saturday.

A total of 54 candidates are contesting on these three seats. These include 23 independent candidates along with two women. Maximum 22 candidates are contesting from Chatra Lok Sabha seat. Here KN Tripathi of Congress and Kalicharan Singh of BJP are face to face. 17 candidates are in the fray from Hazaribagh seat. Here Manish Jaiswal of BJP and JP Patel of Congress are face to face.

15 candidates are trying their luck from Koderma. BJP's Annapurna Devi and CPI ML's Vinod Singh are face to face from this seat. There was 64-66 percent voting in these three seats in the last Lok Sabha elections. More women than men had exercised their franchise on all three seats.
