East Champaran, 02 October (HS). Haraiya police station of the district has conducted a raid and arrested eight smugglers along with drugs, while an FIR has been registered against a total of 12 accused involved in this business.
Confirming this, Haraiya police station in-charge Anjan Kumar said that in the raid conducted on the instructions of District Captain Swarn Prabhat, one kilo 92 grams of hashish and 208 grams of smack have been recovered. The international value of the recovered smack and charas is estimated to be around Rs 6 lakh 40 thousand. 8 smack and charas suppliers have been caught in the raid. In which two are Nepali, one resident of West Champaran and 5 businessmen are residents of Raxaul. All of them used to make packets of smack and charas from Naeem's house and supply them to various places in the city.
These smugglers have been identified as Hasnain Thakur, resident of Bhangaha, West Champaran, Sahil Gupta, Rajan Gupta, Prince Kumar, Pradeep Kumar, Vivek Kumar, resident of Raxaul, Ayush Kumar Singh and Sumit Kumar, residents of Kalaiya in Bara district of Nepal.
