Eight members of a gang involved in cheating before police constable exam arrested in Ghazipur

Ghazipur, 16 February (HS). Ghazipur District Police achieved a major success on Friday. When he busted a cheating gang by getting the papers out two days before the Uttar Pradesh Police Reserve exam. In which eight accused were arrested. A huge amount of cash along with blank checks and educational certificates of the candidates were recovered from them.

The Superintendent of Police said that the active gang involved in cheating by getting the papers out in the UP Police Reserve Examination 2023 to be held on 17th and 18th February was busted by the SWAT and surveillance team and the joint team of Nonhara and Nandganj police stations.

Acting on information, the team busted 08 accused from village Mirdadpur police station Nonhara and recovered Rs 6 lakh in cash, check of Rs 21 lakh, huge quantity of forged documents and mobile and electronic devices from their possession. A case has been registered against the arrested accused at Nonhara police station and further legal action is being taken as per rules.

The detained persons told that they belonged to an organized gang. In which Kishan Mishra and Sunil Mishra, residents of Varanasi DLW are also included. In various competitive examinations, their gangs, by making arrangements through examination centers and other sources, receive different sets of question papers through WhatsApp before the examination, prepare their answers set wise and send the information to the pre-set candidates before the commencement of the examination. It is dispatched approximately 2 hours before.

The accused told that we already make personal contact with our respective sources and give them full confidence that they will be successful. From whom we collect a huge amount of Rs 07-08 lakh and distribute it among ourselves. Some candidates pay the entire amount in advance, while some are unable to pay, then we take Rs. 1 lakh from them in cash and blank check and their original educational marksheets and certificates and keep them with us. When the full amount is paid by them, their educational certificate and blank check are returned.

Among the arrested accused are Pintu Yadav alias Gopesh Yadav alias Neeraj Yadav alias Master alias constable, son of Nandlal Yadav alias Vinod Yadav, resident of village Khidirabad, Kotwali police station, district Ghazipur. Sonu Yadav, son of America Yadav, resident of village Khurdpur, police station Nonhara, district Ghazipur. Ramkaran Yadav, son of late Ramsurat Yadav, resident of village Rasoolpur Kanthwara police station Nonhara Ghazipur. Ramakant Yadav, son of Suresh Singh Yadav, resident of village Sahabajkuli, police station Nonhara, district Ghazipur. Kapildev Singh Yadav, son of Jagdish Singh Yadav, resident of village Pithapur, police station Jangipur, district Ghazipur. Abhimanyu Yadav, son of Dukhanti Singh Yadav, resident of village Lokvapur (Andhau), police station Kotwali, district Ghazipur. Inderjeet Yadav, son of Rambachan Yadav, resident of village ward no. 04, Guru Sevak Nagar police station Jangipur district Ghazipur. Amit Yadav, son of Inderjit Singh Yadav, resident of village Nagwa alias Naupura police station Nonhara district Ghazipur.

These people have Rs 6 lakh in cash and a check of Rs 21 lakh, 17 original educational mark sheets and certificates, 29 Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board Exam 2023 admit card photocopies, 05 sample cheat copies and 08 forged Aadhar cards. Cards, 14 numbers of mobiles, 01 number of WiFi routers of Jio Company and 01 number of printers of HP Company, 01 number of four wheeler Tata Nexan and 03 numbers of motorcycles were recovered.
