Ballia, June 17 (HS). The festival of Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated with full devotion across the district on Monday. Muslims greeted each other by hugging each other after prayers in mosques.
Muslim brothers wore new clothes and visited each other's houses to greet each other. Before this, a large number of people offered namaz in mosques and Eidgahs. The centre of attraction was the Badi Jama Masjid in Bishunipur. Tight security arrangements were made here. In view of Bakrid, the Nagar Palika Parishad had started a special cleaning campaign near all mosques three days in advance.
District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar and Superintendent of Police Dev Ranjan Verma reached Vishunipur Mosque in view of the Bakrid festival and after the prayers wished all the Muslim brothers a Happy Bakrid. The administration breathed a sigh of relief when this festival of sacrifice and renunciation was celebrated safely in the entire district.
Additional Superintendent of Police Durga Prasad Tiwari, CRO Tribhuvan, City Magistrate Indrakant Dwivedi, Area Officer Gaurav Verma, Executive Officer Municipal Council Subhash and City Kotwal Sanjay Singh kept touring the city with their entire team.
On this occasion, Advocate Bilal Khan, Asghar Ali, Councilor representative Lucky Khan, Councilor Dilshad Ahmed, former councilor Shakeel Khan and Farhan Khan etc. were present.
