Educated local people about cyber crimes

Jammu, July 16 (HS). An informative lecture was organized at the Modern Public Academy in Dara Dulain, Poonch to educate the locals about various types of cyber and internet crimes. The program was aimed at raising awareness and providing necessary preventive measures to avoid falling prey to hacking, ransomware, espionage, financial theft and phishing activities.

The lecture covered a wide spectrum of cyber threats and emphasised the importance of adopting simple yet effective precautions. Key security features for using banking applications as well as popular social media platforms such as Facebook and WhatsApp were discussed in detail. This comprehensive approach ensured that the attendees were well-equipped to protect their digital lives. The audience, consisting of enthusiastic locals, actively participated in the session and sought to expand their understanding of cyber crimes. The interactive nature of the lecture allowed for a dynamic exchange of information which was highly appreciated by all the attendees.
