ED takes big action in money laundering case, raids in Delhi, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh

ED has conducted raids in Punjab, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh in connection with money laundering. This raid was conducted on a company engaged in liquor manufacturing business. Let us tell you that the owner of the company is also associated with Akali Dal.

According to the information, the Enforcement Directorate team has raided different places in Punjab, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh in the money laundering case. Search operations are going on at seven different locations of Malbros International Private Limited, a subsidiary of Oasis Group of Companies. The company is accused of dumping industrial waste back into the ground through a borewell at its Ferozepur unit, which was polluting the soil and groundwater. Groundwater has been polluted within a radius of about four km. This matter was raised during the Zero Hour in Parliament House.

ED raids in many states including Delhi

After this, the Central Pollution Control Board and the Central Ground Water Board also inspected this factory in Tehsil Jira. The Punjab Pollution Control Board has also filed a criminal complaint in this case. Let us tell you that a case has been registered under the Crime Underwater Act PMLA 2002, which is a crime under PMLA 2002. Due to which the ED has also started an investigation in this matter. The people of the surrounding villages had protested for a long time against the pollution spreading from this factory and demanded action.

This company has connection with liquor making business

Let us tell you that this company was involved in the business of making liquor. The owners of this company are Deep Malhotra and Gautam Malhotra. Deep Malhotra has been an Akali Dal MLA. Gautam is his son, Gautam was arrested in the Delhi Excise Scam case. According to a report, if we look at the data between April 2014 to March 2024 and the data from July 2005 to March 2014, then the activities of ED have increased significantly in the last 10 years.
