ED and CBI are no longer autonomous institutions: Rahul Gandhi

Mumbai, March 16 (HS). Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said in Thane on Saturday that the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) and other investigating agencies are no longer autonomous institutions. Rahul Gandhi alleged that all these investigating agencies are working at the behest of the Central Government.

Rahul Gandhi was addressing in Thane on Saturday during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. He said that the electoral bond scheme is the world's biggest extortion racket. Whenever his government comes to power at the Centre, it will be investigated.

Rahul Gandhi said that more than fifty lakh people lost their lives in the country during Corona. But even during the deaths of people due to Corona, the Central Government was collecting donations worth crores of rupees from the Serum Institute in the name of Corona vaccine. In the name of Electoral Bond Scheme, donations have been collected by giving jobs to people and setting up cell companies on a large scale in exchange for them. The central government does not have the courage to get this investigated. Rahul Gandhi said that whenever his government comes to power, these scams will be thoroughly investigated.
