- 5-6 Arabica leaves
- 1 ½ cup gram flour
- ½ tsp coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- a pinch of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon green chilli, ginger and garlic paste
- 1 tbsp celery
- 1 ½ tsp asafoetida
- ¼ cup tamarind pulp
- ¼ cup melted jaggery
- 2-3 tbsp oil
- ½ tsp salt
- 8-10 curry leaves
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- water as required
- ½ tsp sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon sugar
how to create a character
- Wash and clean the Arabica leaves.
- Dry it with a cloth, cut off the extra stalk and try to flatten it.
- In a bowl, add red chilli powder, coriander powder, celery, turmeric powder, asafoetida, salt, green chilli-ginger-garlic paste, tamarind pulp and baking soda and mix.
- – After this, add gram flour and a little water and make a thick paste.
- – Heat oil in a pan and add it to the gram flour mixture and mix.
- Place the Arabica leaves on a flat surface and apply a layer of gram flour mixture on top of the other leaf.
- Apply the mixture again and repeat this process 3-4 times.
- Once the mixture is applied, fold the edges.
- Roll it into a cylindrical shape and fill it with gram flour paste on the edges and seal it.
- Heat the steamer and steam the rolled Arabica leaves for 10-12 minutes.
- – Heat oil in a pan, add slices and deep fry them.
- – Heat oil in a pan, add cumin, mustard, sesame seeds, curry leaves and let it brown.
- Then add some water, sugar, salt and mix.
- – Now toss the slices gently and take them out in a plate.
- Delicious patra is ready.
