The earth shook due to earthquake for the third consecutive day. An earthquake occurred in Afghanistan today at 3.30 am. The intensity of this earthquake was measured at 4.3 on the Richter scale. Although there is no news of loss of life or property due to this earthquake, earthquakes have been occurring continuously in the country for the last several months, due to which there is an atmosphere of fear and panic among the people. The epicenter of today’s earthquake was found at a depth of 170 kilometers underground. Earlier on the morning of 27 December, there was an earthquake in Afghanistan.

An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale was felt 73 kilometers south of Faizabad district of the country. Earlier, earthquake tremors were felt in Ganistan late on Wednesday night. The epicenter of this earthquake was found at a depth of 180 kilometers. Tremors were felt at 5.41 am. Earlier, according to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), an earthquake of 5.5 magnitude had hit the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan on October 17, 2024. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 181 kilometers (112.47 mi) from the earth.

The European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) confirmed this and said that the earthquake’s intensity was 5.5 on the Richter scale and the epicenter was found at a depth of 10 kilometers underground. Due to this earthquake, volcanic alert was declared in Central Mount Dofan, an area of Ethiopia. Lava and smoke are continuously coming out from the mountain. Therefore, people have been taken to a safe place. Countrymen have been asked to remain alert, so that people can protect themselves from natural disasters.

Earthquake occurred in Chile and Pakistan on Friday. A strong earthquake was felt in Antofagasta city of Chile. The intensity of this earthquake was 6.1 and its center was found at a depth of 104 kilometers inside the earth. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) has asked people to be prepared for aftershocks. Apart from this, earthquake also occurred in India’s neighboring country Pakistan. The intensity of the earthquake that occurred at 6:10 am was measured at 4.3 on the Richter scale. Its center was found at a depth of 77 kilometers from the earth.
