However, the Meteorological Department has also warned that Mumbaikars will have to face heat and heat wave during the next two days, due to which there is a possibility of increase in humidity in the atmosphere along with heat and cold weather in the afternoon.

Today, the maximum temperature in Colaba was recorded at 34.0 and minimum temperature was 27.4 degrees Celsius, while in Santa Cruz the maximum temperature was 34.7 and minimum temperature was 28.1 degrees Celsius. However, humidity in Colaba today increased to 87-78 per cent compared to yesterday (70-64 per cent), while humidity in Santa Cruz also increased to 74-71 per cent compared to yesterday (64-39 per cent).

Deputy Director General of Meteorological Department, Sunil Kamble informed Gujarat Samachar that from this morning westerly winds started blowing over Mumbai, the change in the direction of the wind brought relief from the heat. Due to the extremely hot easterly winds blowing over Mumbai for the last two days, unbearable heat has spread in the atmosphere.

Presently a low pressure belt is extending from Vidarbha via Marathwada to Karnataka at a distance of 0.9 km.

Under the influence of such changing factors, hot and humid weather is likely to occur over Mumbai, Thane, Raigad during the next two days (April 18, April 19), with light rain and thundershowers likely. There is lightning and strong wind in Thane and Palghar.

At the same time, during the next three days (April 19 to 21), there will be thunder and lightning in Central Maharashtra (Nashik, Dhule, Nandurbar, Solapur), Marathwada (Nanded, Beed, Latur, Dharashiv), Vidarbha (Chandrapur). , Gondia, Gadchiroli, Nagpur, Wardha) Natural factors like unseasonal rains along with wind are moving.

Today Malegaon was the hottest place in entire Maharashtra with 43.2 degrees. While Giri station Mahabaleshwar was the coldest place in the state with 20.1 degrees Celsius.
