Inflation and unemployment in Pakistan: Pakistan, which is facing many challenges like internal strife, inflation and unemployment, is in another trouble. Its efforts to improve its economy through trade with China are likely to suffer. The problem is that the Pakistan government is trying to find a solution to this problem.

Such a challenge has arisen in Pakistan

A major highway in Pakistan’s northern province of Gilgit-Baltistan has been blocked by locals, causing traffic problems. The protesters have been blocking the Karakoram Highway (KKH) since last Friday. The government has tried to convince them, but people do not agree. The situation has remained the same for the last four days, due to which hundreds of trucks carrying goods through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) are stranded on highways and dry ports (ports). Let us tell you here that Gilgit-Baltistan is a part of POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir).

Important reasons for public opposition

Due to power cut, local residents have come out on the streets. Fed up with continuous power cuts for hours, people have staged a protest on the highways. People have received support from ‘Hunza Awami Action Committee’ and ‘All Parties Traders Association’ in the protest.

More than 700 trucks are stuck on the highway

Trade between Pakistan and China has been disrupted due to the highway blockade. Around 700 trucks carrying goods are stranded on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) routes. Many trucks are stuck at the dry port.

Protests affected entire Pakistan

Inflation in Pakistan has been troubling me for the last few months. With prices of everyday commodities already skyrocketing, movement of trucks laden with goods has been suspended in the Hunza region, increasing the freight burden in the country, making goods more expensive. If this situation continues for a long time, waves of protest will arise in other provinces of Pakistan also.

Government is unable to solve the problem

The Pakistan government, after discussing with the representatives of the protesters, has promised to lay a new electricity transmission line as soon as possible to solve the electricity problem there, but the protesters have refused to listen to them. They are determined to continue the protest, as similar problems have surfaced in the province before. People upset with the slow pace of the government have announced that they will continue their protest until their demands are met.

The root of the problem is low power generation

Not only Hunza Valley, entire Gilgit-Baltistan has been suffering from electricity shortage for years. Electricity generation in this region depends on hydropower stations. During winter, as the water level in the power channels drops, power generation reduces significantly, leading to blackouts.

…then Pakistan will be broken into pieces!

All the people of Pakistan are troubled by the failed policies of the government. The fire of protest against the Pakistan government continues to burn in Balochistan. In such a situation, the people of PoK have also entered into a war against the government. It would not be surprising if the sum total of all these discontents resulted in the disintegration of Pakistan.
