On Friday morning, AQI was recorded above 270 in most areas of the metropolis. The highest AQI was recorded at around 300 in Buddhi Vihar, MDA, Kashiramnagar.

Pradeep Saxena Advocate, nominated member of District Environment Ganga Committee, Uttar Pradesh Government, said that this time a large number of fireworks have been released in Moradabad. People released smoky crackers in such large quantities that the foul smell of firecrackers was in the air after 11 pm on Thursday night, causing tears and burning sensation in the eyes of some people. This morning, AQI was recorded above 270 in most areas of the metropolis.

Senior ophthalmologist Dr. Pallav Aggarwal said that the smoke generated in the atmosphere due to excessive release of fireworks every year is very poisonous and dangerous. Due to this, it is common for people to have tears in their eyes, burning sensation, pain and stinging sensation. Dr. Pallav further said that last night and this morning also patients had contacted for these eye problems. Which were suggested as remedies for its prevention.
