Jalaun, 27 June (HS). Brijlal Ahirwar, a resident of village Bardauli of Kotwali Kalpi, had his in-laws in village Hinguta of Konch area. Due to this, his 22-year-old son Manish Ahirwar used to visit his maternal uncle's house frequently. During this time, Manish's friendship with his cousin's daughter 19-year-old Diksha Gautam increased. The closeness between the two increased.
Later, Diksha started taking coaching at Bhadoria Classes while living in Sushil Nagar locality of Orai, and Manish started visiting her there. Their love grew to such an extent that both were ready to get married. On Wednesday afternoon, Manish took Diksha with him and after spending the whole day together, they committed suicide by getting hit by a train on the railway track between Chhounk and Usargaon on the Jhansi Kanpur railway route in Kalpi Kotwali area in the early hours of Thursday. After some time, when the villagers passing by saw the mutilated bodies of the young man and woman on the track, they informed the police. The police identified the bodies and informed their families.
Kalpi police station in-charge Nagendra Pathak said that it has come to light that the two were in a love affair. At present, the police have taken the bodies of both of them into custody and sent them for post-mortem.
