Due to fear of the police, the thief left the stolen goods along with all the gold and silver jewelery worth Rs 40 lakh and ran away.

Jaisalmer, 16 May (HS). The police have recovered all the gold and silver jewelery that was stolen from an old man's house on the night of May 10 in Salkha village of Sam police station area in the district. Whose price is around 40 lakhs. Fearing the police, the thief had fled leaving all the stolen goods near a water tank at some distance from the village. Sam police station recovered the goods and started actively searching for the accused.

SP Sudhir Chaudhary said that on May 11, Lal Singh, resident of Salkha village, reported in Sam police station that his elder Dadosa and his brother Nakhat Singh live in a nearby village. The thieves broke the lock of the room and stole gold and silver jewelery worth Rs 40 lakh and cash worth Rs 1.5 lakh kept in a tin box inside. The police registered a case on the report and started investigation. Taking seriously the incident of embezzlement of lakhs of rupees from an elderly person, SP Sudhir Chaudhary formed a special team under the leadership of SHO Sam Omaram. The police team called the MOB unit and inspected it. The team continuously monitored the incident site and surrounding areas and interrogated the suspects. Due to increasing police pressure and fear of being caught, the thief kept all the stolen goods including gold and silver jewelery near the water tank located in front of the PHED office in Salkha village and ran away. Which was seized from the spot by the police during search. Whose price is around Rs 40 lakh. The police team is searching for the thief.
