Ranchi, 02 August (HS). Due to continuous heavy rains in Ranchi, flood-like situation has arisen in many areas. Due to rain, flood-like situation arose in the locality of New Bandh Gaadi Deepatoli Road No. 5 of Sadar police station area on Friday.
According to the information, water has entered more than 50 houses. More than 100 people are trapped in it. NDRF team was deployed to rescue the people trapped in the water.
NDRF teams rescued people trapped in homes and on the roads.
Sadar police station in-charge said that about 15 people were rescued, who had to go somewhere. Other people were asked to stay in their homes, after which they were allowed to stay in their homes. The entire area is being monitored.
While the water level in the dam has increased considerably due to the continuous rain in Ranchi and the surrounding districts, the Harmu and Swarnarekha rivers are overflowing for the first time this monsoon. Near Nivaranpur and Hindpiri, the water of the Harmu river is flowing above the culvert. Rajiv Ranjan, president of the Mahavir Mandal of Nivaranpur, said that on one side the road has been closed for the construction of a bridge, while on the other side water is flowing over the road leading to the Nivaranpur temple, due to which the people here are facing a lot of trouble in commuting.
On the other hand, due to the continuous rain, there is no electricity in many areas due to which people are facing a lot of problems.
