Driving License Rules: The rules for getting a driving license have changed. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has changed many rules. Those who want to apply for a new driving license will not need to visit the Regional Transport Office (RTO). Rather, you will be able to give a driving test by going to a private training center or driving school. You will also get a driving qualification certificate from here. Currently, driving licenses are made by giving tests in driving schools in many cities of the country. In such a situation, now this rule will be applicable in the whole country.
In the new rule, it will not be necessary to give a test at the RTO to get a new driving license. Instead, you will be able to go to a private driving training center and give the test. These centers will be allowed to take driving tests and issue driving certificates. In such a situation, the black marketing going on in the RTO or the commission given to the brokers will also end. Also, you will not need to visit the RTO again and again.
Application procedure for obtaining a new license
You can apply for a driving license online through https://parivahan.gov.in/. You can visit the RTO to apply through the manual process. The application fee depends on the type of license. You have to visit the RTO to submit the documents for the license and demonstrate your driving skills.

Learner's Licence (Form 3): Rs 150
Learner's Licence Test (or Re-test): Rs 50
Driving test (or re-test): Rs 300
Issuance of driving licence: Rs 200
International Driving Permit: Rs.1,000
Adding another vehicle category to the licence: Rs 500
Driving licence renewal: Rs 200
Late renewal (after grace period): Rs 1300
Duplicate license for driving instruction school: Rs 5000
Appeal against the order of licensing authority: Rs 500

A fine of Rs 25,000 will be imposed on the minor
Speeding will attract a fine of Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000. A minor caught driving will be fined Rs 25,000. Not only this, the minor's father can also be jailed with a fine of up to Rs 25,000. According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the vehicle owner's registration card will be canceled and the minor will be ineligible for a license until the age of 25.
