Drivers will get relief! NHAI took a big decision regarding toll tax

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has withdrawn its decision to increase toll tax on national highways and expressways across the country from Monday, April 1. This has been revealed in a media report. According to available information, all project directors have been informed about this rollback. According to the information received, the existing toll rates will remain applicable because the rule has been withdrawn.

No change in toll tax

This comes just days after NHAI's decision to increase toll rates. At around 9 pm on Sunday night, a letter has also been issued by the Project Manager (Bareilly) of NHAI that there will be no change in toll rates till further orders. NHAI officials posted in Agra and other areas of Uttar Pradesh have also confirmed that there will be no change in toll rates at present.

Doesn't this increase toll tax?

It is being told that the public transport agency of UPSRTC has not received any order from NHAI for revising the toll rates. Therefore, no change in bus fare surcharge will be implemented. There is speculation that the decision to increase the toll fee has been postponed due to the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct across the country.

Fastag KYC is also necessary

As per the recent instructions, Fastag users who have not updated their KYC details, their Fastag accounts and devices will be declared invalid from today i.e. 1st April. Fastag KYC is mandatory for all Fastag users. If you have not done KYC yet then Fastag will be deactivated from the bank account.
