DRDO DIPR Recruitment 2026: Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) keeps recruiting apprentice posts from time to time. According to the latest notification, Delhi-based ‘Defence Institute of Psychological Research’ (DIPR) has also announced new recruitment of apprentice for ITI pass youth.
The special thing about this recruitment is that graduates or diploma holders cannot apply, this opportunity is especially for ITI certificate holders. How many vacancies in DRDO?
A total of 24 posts have been invited for various trades in DRDO. Of these, maximum 14 posts are for COPA trade. Apart from this, applications have been invited for 2 posts each in Desktop Publishing Operator, Secretariat Assistant (English/Hindi) and Information and Communication Technology System Maintenance Trade. Whereas, 1 post each is reserved for steward and photographer trade.
DRDO Recruitment 2026: Who can apply?

Educational Qualification: It is mandatory to have ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an institute recognized by SCVT or NCVET (NCVT).

Registration Condition: Before applying, candidates must be registered on the Central Government Apprenticeship Portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in).

Age Limit: As per apprentice rules, the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years.
How will the selection be done?
According to the official notification of DRDO, the candidates applying will be selected through the marks obtained in the examination or trade. After this the selected candidates will be called for interview. The final merit list will be released category wise. Information about apprenticeship training of selected candidates will be given by mail on the official email ID. After joining, candidates will also have to submit police verification certificate.
DRDO Vacancy 2026: How much stipend will you get?
Candidates selected in Steward, Desktop Publishing Operator, Secretariat Assistant English/Hindi, Multimedia and Web Page Designer and COPA trade will be given a stipend of Rs 9,600 per month. Whereas, candidates selected in Photographer and Information and Communication Technology System Maintenance trade will get a stipend of Rs 10,560 every month.
