Along with this, the daily work done according to the microplan should be kept updated so that there is clarity in inspection.
In view of the upcoming monsoon, Municipal Commissioner Shivsharanappa GN directed to start the work of cleaning drains less than 1 meter wide under the Health Department from April 15. Also directed that all city health officers should make a microplan for this work. The Chief Engineer was asked to prepare a microplan for silt cleaning and silt lifting of all the big drains under the Municipal Corporation limits. A microplan for cleaning all the major drains should be prepared and presented before them by 10th April.
The Municipal Commissioner said that the summer season has started and it is time that the work of drain cleaning should be started soon, so that all the drains are cleaned by June 15, i.e. before the beginning of the rainy season. Along with this, in order to quickly resolve the problems faced by the people in view of the rainy season, the Engineering and Health Departments were asked to create controls and deploy employees in them and release the control room numbers and helpline numbers immediately. It was also said that this time the work of drain cleaning will be done with complete transparency.
